LWV Members at the Round House

The League of Women Voters held their annual League Day today at the Round House. Dozens of members from across the state joined Mary Wilson, a NM local and current national President of the League, and the state and local chapter presidents in a day of lobbying on public campaign financing, ethics reforms and other LWV issues. We had an interesting and frank conversation with Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez about public campaign financing of statewide offices as well as contribution limits and the proposed ethics commission legislation. It was a very successful day, with visits to House Minority Leader Ken Martinez's office and LWV members' legislators.
